Threapwood has been connected with Super Fast Fibre Optic Broadband. Connecting Cheshire hosted a “Switch On” evening for the community to attend.
Connecting Cheshire, is a partnership between BT and Cheshire West and Chester, Cheshire East, Halton and Warrington Councils. The partnership aims to reach an additional 80,000 homes and businesses with fibre broadband. Connecting Cheshire has funded a new fibre broadband cabinet so far in the Threapwood telephone exchange area. To date over 100 premises can now upgrade to fibre broadband. Anyone can check their availability via Connecting Cheshire’s website: www.connectingcheshire.org.uk
This upgrade is great for the community to become more connected. Topwood and our customers will also benefit as our servers will run faster, making our online document management system superfast.
Connecting Cheshire says:
“Superfast fibre broadband is not just about a faster internet experience or doing one thing quicker, it’s about everyone being able to do their own thing online, all at the same time. You can work or play – smarter, faster, better – whether from your smartphone, TV, tablet or computer. Check the Connecting Cheshire website to see if your home or business can be upgraded and then contact your Internet Service Provider or shop around for the best deal and order a fibre broadband service – it doesn’t happen automatically and you could make a saving compared with your current broadband contract!”
There is also a video available that explains the upgrading process and one that explains the benefits of fibre broadband. (Search You Tube for the Connecting Cheshire channel.). https://www.youtube.com/user/connectingcheshire“
