To provide a secure document shredding services to the public sector there are certain requirements and accreditations that must be adhered to. Topwood are a supplier to ESPO and Shared Business Services NHS frameworks for the provision of secure shredding and disposal services.
What is a framework?
ESPO and SBS NHS provide all UK Public Sector Bodies free access to a list of approved suppliers that meet legislative requirements, for example providing GDPR compliant on-site shredding services and having up to £10,000,000 Public & Products Liability, Employers Liability and £2,000,000 Professional Indemnity insurance.
UK Public Sector Bodies such as the education sector, NHS and local authorities have the opportunity to choose services from a list of suppliers that provide a range of document management services, including document scanning, storage and shredding. A detailed procurement exercise has taken place to select this list of suppliers, which includes checking insurance levels, information security controls and all compliance and accreditation relevant to the industry.
ESPO framework 981 – Secure Shredding and Disposal Services
Topwood have been awarded a place on ESPO framework 981 – Secure Shredding and Disposal Services to supply confidential shredding services in North West England, West Midlands and Wales. This framework aims to provide UK Public Sector Bodies a quick procurement solution for goods and services such as document destruction and media shredding.
Shared Business Service – NHS – Waste Management and Minimisation Services
This framework provides participating authorities a free and flexible method to choose from a list of suppliers that are on the agreement. There will be a range of pricing options ready to use for all participating authorities for all good and services including off-site and on-site shredding, lockable consoles and wheelie bins.
Our MDX shredders can cross cut up to DIN 66399 level P-4 (EN15713 Security level 6) which is the required level for secure destruction of sensitive documents for government departments such as Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defence. This produces a shredding outcome of 60-100mm sq which is about the size of a push pin head.
